Yin Yoga & Sound Journey

  • YogaBodyWorks 1/204 King St Newcastle, NSW, 2300 Australia (map)

Restore, rejuvenate, and find inner peace with our Yin Yoga & Sound Journey.

A 4 hour practice featuring the healing sounds of Māori instruments and medicine songs.

Guided by Rhonda Vaughan, your yoga instructor, and Cyrus Henry, your medicine musician.

This workshop offers a blend of cultural depth and therapeutic relaxation, providing participants with an opportunity to experience peace, balance, and rejuvenation through the integration of Māori soundscapes, Central American medicine songs and restorative yoga.

Rhonda brings over a decade of experience as a dedicated yoga instructor, currently enriching the communities at Yoga Groove-Liverpool, Fitness Hub-Merrylands, and the esteemed One Big Heart-Camden. Her approach fosters a secure and inquisitive environment, seamlessly blending precise guidance with a profound understanding of yoga philosophy.

Cyrus is an indigenous Māori, healer and coach with over a decade of experience. His journey includes a year of mentorship with a clairvoyant/healer, formal training in energy healing at The Awareness Institute 2016-2018, and three years immersed in Nicaraguan indigenous practices and plant medicine. He skillfully blends traditional Māori sound healing (Taonga Puoro) with medicine songs, reflecting the natural soundscapes of Aotearoa. Cyrus creates and leads international men's retreats, facilitates plant medicine journeys, and offers workshops on healing, communication and somatic expression.

Together, Rhonda and Cyrus cultivate a powerful and safe space for deep self-exploration and profound personal witnessing.
