Life WithYIN is Sarah Truman's Signature Course to help introduce you into slow Yoga & slow living.
WHY PRACTICE YIN YOGA?
Yin Yoga is predominately a floor based practice, during which we work with the deeper
connective tissue (fascia) of the body.
During a Yin Yoga practice we relax the muscles of the body as we strengthen the muscles of the mind,
we learn how to observe the sensations of the body,
the reactions of the mind & gain a deeper understanding of how we react & respond in everyday life
WHY COME TO THE WORKSHOP?
In a Yin Yoga practice we therapeutically apply stress to the body, during the workshop you will become aware of your maximum range of motion (your edge), you will learn about your own personal physical limitations, your boundaries & safely explore various Yin Yoga postures.
Learning about your body in this way will increase your awareness of your physical body and in-turn will enhance your practice when you attend group classes or practice at home as it will gift you a greater ability to allow your self to reduce tension & 'melt' built up blockages that form in the body due to every day stresses, traumas, anxieties, fears, worries, grief & quilt.
In this course we will cover:
Skelton variation - why your bones make a difference to your Yoga practice
Tension v Compression - understanding what your feeling & discovering what a 'stretch' really feels like
Pose Variations - how to find the perfect pose for you & to let go of what every one else is doing
Develop a basic understanding of the energy that flows through out the body (the meridians) &
how different poses impact you mentally, physically & emotionally.
PLUS INCLUDES A FULL 90 MINUTE PRACTICE
You will leave this series with an in depth knowledge of the practice & principles of Yin Yoga
& how to implement them in your ongoing Yoga practice
