Fascia: It's Everywhere!
Prepare to dive in and explore the interconnected web inside your skin, with Myofascial Release (MFR) and Yin Yoga.
This 3-part, 2-hour workshop series will introduce you to the myofascia - muscles (myo) and the connective tissue within and around them (fascia) - a living, breathing, sensing network of soft tissues in the body which shapes the way we experience and react to our lives.
Fascia is literally everywhere. It connects every part of us and can be found immediately beneath the skin, around individual muscles, groups of muscles, bones, nerves, blood vessels, organs and cells. In fact it can be considered to be one organ which stretches and contracts, is incredibly strong and requires hydration (through movement and long held stretches) to effectively feed information to our brain via the central nervous system.

14th July: Hip, Hip Hooray: Release tensions in the hips, glutes and hamstrings.

Hannah Perkins has been teaching Mindfulness since 2013 and Yoga since 2015. Having experienced chronic pain for many years, she is “fascia-nated” with the connective tissues in the body and how they send loving information to us through the language of sensation. She has trained extensively with the world's best Yin Yoga and Embodied Movement teachers including Sarah and Ty Powers (Insight Yoga - integrating Yoga with Buddhist and Daoist Psychology), Jo Phee (senior assistant to Paul Grilley and self-confessed MFR nerd) and Bonnie Furzer (Certified Anatomy Trains and Slings Myofascial trainer).
