Have you ever wanted to learn to fly? Or lift others to new heights? Then come join us to learn the fundamentals of Acroyoga!
This two hour workshop will provide you with everything you need to fly, base and spot in a safe and supportive environment.
Acroyoga is a practice that combines yoga, acrobatics and healing arts such as Thai massage. It provides practitioners with very tangible results not only physically but emotionally and mentally.
On a physical level Acroyoga will lead you to develop strength, increase flexibility and teach you acrobatic skills you didn’t think possible. On a deeper level, as a shared experience, Acroyoga is a fantastic vehicle for learning communication; open, compassionate, verbal and non verbal. Working with others results in acroyogis learning to trust, practise compassion, form connections and deepen relationships while creating a mindful community. It’s not just about self development and athletic improvement, Acroyoga is also just good clean fun and playfulness!
Sara Nelson and Lindsay Burns (certified yoga and acroyoga instuctors). Sara and Lindsay have been practicing acroyoga together for two years and enjoy sharing this practice with others. They completed their acroyoga teacher training together in May 2017 in Vancouver with Vancity Acro. They have been teaching a weekly acroyoga classes in Newcastle since November 2017 and hold regular community jams.
